Food Drives

There are many families who have had some unfortunate happenings and need some temporary relief.

The holidays are perfect for this type of giving, but please to remember that kids need toys and food all year round, and thus we encourage Food Drives several times a year.

“Thanksgiving in July” Food Drive

Hello!

My name is Dr. Kamran Sahabi, a local Dentist in the Los Angeles, CA area. I want to say thank you for your support for the Emergency Dental Treatment day that I hosted back on April 18th and May 2nd 2009. The event was such a success. We were able to provide dental treatment to many in need, who otherwise could not afford dental care and save lives by many people who came out to donate blood.

In a hard economic climate, I believe that giving back to the community is more important than ever before.

During traditional Thanksgiving, we celebrate the spirit of giving, helping and appreciating, which are a few of the many important values that have built this country. I would like to do my part to support my community – especially in this economic climate — by organizing a food drive in the month of June and thus bring smiles to the less fortunate. I call this event “Thanksgiving in July”. Below are the details:

During this event, I will select a few families (deserving of the cause) that have been nominated by the community, and I will deliver the food directly to their door! Those dinners will be full and well-balanced meals with all of the trimmings, so that the selected families can enjoy a wonderful Saturday night family dinner. Our office will purchase all food to be delivered.

We will however also appreciate any food donations (non-perishable only) that can be dropped off at our office address below from July 1st to July 31st 2009 and we would also like to have your nominations of names of needy families.
